Project months behind schedule
Partial service has been restored, but the LAT says that the Long Beach-L.A. line was running only every 20 or 30 minutes instead of the usual six to seven minutes. Delays were so bad this morning that at one point Metro was urging commuters to drive. No word on what caused the outage.
