The Orange County Register has begun to check up on its reporters' accuracy, collecting notes and sending a survey to the sources named in one story each day, says the OC Business Journal. Two staffers have been assigned to monitor coverage and handle the surveys. It's in this week's Los Angeles Business Journal, along with a story by RiShawn Biddle on Schwarzenegger's business empire (he had to write it before Arnold released his tax returns and conflict statements last week) and a piece by Darrell Satzman on the KPCC alliance with the Los Angeles radio stations owned by Saul Levine. Satzman also has a Q-and-A interview with Arturo Moreno, new owner of the Anaheim Angels.
