New PR firm forms

Jim Yeager, the senior VP for worldwide publicity at Universal Parks & Resorts, is leaving to start a new firm with Linda Dozoretz, president of Linda Dozoretz Communications. Variety says Dozoretz/Yeager will focus on entertainment, travel, sports and consumer products. Clients already in the fold are said to include IMG, the American Film Institute, Burt Bacharach, Martina Navratilova, the Art Center College of Design and Universal's theme parks and resorts. Says Variety:

Yeager may be best known as the publicist who flew a full-size Tyrannosaurus rex beneath a helicopter to mark the opening of U's Jurassic Park ride and sent a Spider-Man stuntman sliding on a wire 40 stories above the Hollywood Freeway from the Hilton Hotel to CityWalk to mark the grand opening of the Marvel Mania eatery.

"Almost every stunt's been done on the ground, so I like to do them in the air," Yeager said.
