Best Newscast Writing: CBS-2 "News at 11"
Best Spot News Reporting: KTLA, "Plane Into Building"
Best Hard News Series: KTTV, "77th Street Gang"
Best News Special: KCET, "California Connected: The Big One"
Best Investigative Reporting: KCBS, "Toxic School" and KNBC, "Clean Cars, Dirty Business"

Radio:
Best News Broadcast over 15 mins: KFWB
Best Live Coverage: KFWB, "Fairfax Plane Crash"
Best Documentary: KNX, "Child Molester"
