TV news hires

A couple of key positions have been filled in local TV news, according to RonFineman.com. Channel 4 has brought in Keith Esparros, a former executive producer at KCAL and KTTV, as managing editor. And Fox has named Kevin Hale as VP and general manager of channels 11 and 13. The website is also holding a runoff vote for most annoying local anchor between channel 13's Lauren Sanchez and channel 9's Mia Lee. They came out on top, if that's the right word, in the first round -- 104 readers cast ballots.
