WSJ passing on Carter story

Nikki Finke reports in the LA Weekly that Wall Street Journal media editor Rich Turner decided not to bother chasing the L.A. Times and New York Times on the Graydon Carter story, calling the gettable revelations not that interesting. She also has some newsroom gossip on the switch of NYT culture editors from Steven Erlanger to Jonathan Landman, and on Elvis Mitchell's negotiations to take a job at Sony.

Also in the Weekly: The cover story by Jeffrey Anderson investigates the African Community Resource Center and its mysterious longtime director, Nikki Tesfai, and asks, What have millions of dollars of government money done for the African refugee community in Los Angeles?
