In a story today on the Los Angeles Community Colleges, the Daily News quotes elected trustee Michael Waxman praising the job done for the colleges by PR firm Fleishman-Hillard. They might have mentioned (but didn't...) that Waxman is yet another member of the local Fleishman alumni club. In fact, his official bio on the college district website cites his work on Fleishman's controversial Department of Water and Power contract. The DN story is about the college board preparing to hire a firm run by veteran political consultant Harvey Englander to replace Fleishman. The Howard Jarvis taxpayer group calls it a waste of money.
