Gretchen CarrI've mentioned before the strange fascination that some L.A. Observed visitors have with TV news women, in general, and especially with Gretchen Carr, the former CBS 2 News anchor. The last posting here that was actually about her ran back in January. In May I passed along that her name was still one of the top four search engine terms that brings new readers to this blog; last month she was #7 (behind Jennifer York who was #1, Sharon Tay #2 and Jackie Johnson #3). Now Ron Fineman reports that Carr recently had a baby girl, and he adds it's "still a mystery" why channel 2 let her go.
