LAX almost the worst

LAXOf 76 airports in the world, it takes longest to get through the ticket counter lines at LAX—and only Denver and Dulles have longer security lines. The Daily News story on the study by J.D. Power and Associates quotes Burbank Airport spokesman Victor Gill, who gloats: "It doesn't really surprise me. Everyone was worried about lines backing up onto the sidewalks." Burbank, I should note, is now called Bob Hope Airport.
