Reichl on Reichl

Reichl in disguiseGourmet editor and former L.A. Times food editor and critic Ruth Reichl doesn't really look like this. It's one of the disguises she used as a restaurant critic for the New York Times and writes about in her new book. She has been around town touting her various reportorial personalities (and the book) and tonight appears on Life & Times to talk about it with Vicki Curry. KCET, 6:30 p.m.

And on Wednesday: Xan Cassavetes is on "The Treatment" with Elvis Mitchell on KCRW to talk about her documentary on the vanished L.A. television institution the Z Channel. Her film shows next month on IFC. KCRW 2:30 p.m.
