Joughin RanchOver at America's Suburb.com, I talk about driving to the peak of Oat Mountain above the Valley for the first time. Usually the road is closed that far into the Santa Susanas, but this time the gates were open so my co-explorer and I just kept going. Much of the oak and grassland we crossed used to belong to the Joughin Ranch, which dates to at least the 1920s, but it recently became part of the Michael D. Antonovich Regional Park. Didn't have a camera, so the photo is from the park's website.
