Arlington West, with flags

FlagsAlan Pavlik, editor and publisher of the online magazine Just Above Sunset, posted some photographs of flags arrayed on graves at the national cemetery in Westwood. It's not clear whether they were shot after Saturday's placing of the flags, or date from a previous year. At blogging.la, Will Campbell paid his respects in person on Memorial Day. And Dennis McCarthy covered this year's flag-laying in the Daily News. Both the DN and the Times put the flag event I mentioned Friday on Sunday's front pages (photo-only in the LAT.)
