The author of Inside Daisy Clover, The Slide Area: Scenes of Hollywood Life and a biography of Natalie Wood died Sunday at age 80. His death was announced by "The Boys in the Band" playwright Mart Crowley. Lambert landed in Hollywood in the 1950s as a screenwriter and personal assistant to director Nicholas Ray.
