Legal help for evacuees

Southwestern Law School is training students tomorrow to provide legal emergency services to Hurricane Katrina victims who find themselves in Los Angeles. Students from Southwestern and other law schools will staff a free legal clinic that opens Friday at the Red Cross facility at Seventh and Rampart. Prompted by Southwestern 1-L Ed Anderson, the school is also hosting a two-day training session for volunteers who want to become certified as Red Cross disaster relief workers. Apparently, several Southwestern students and faculty plan to volunteer on the Gulf Coast after finals.
