The lower links are other quick sources for a variety of L.A. news.
♦ If you're reading this, Total Choice Hosting has resolved the server crash that knocked LAObserved offline yesterday and through the night. They have scores of the things, and mine was the only server box that failed. The story ends well though.
♦ The L.A. Independent reports that the
Windsor
Squarians sound happy to have the Villaraigosas in the neighborhood. They've been living in Getty House for a few weeks now.
♦ Star Trek's George Takei makes it official and, at age 68, tells
Frontiers magazine that
he is gay.
♦ Malibu to surfers:
Dudes, don't go near the tsunami.
♦ A panel of experts has this to say about methane gas making a Wilshire subway too risky to build:
pshaw.
♦ Yeah, another Valley driver
smacked into a bus on the Orange Line. Happy riding this weekend. The VIP unveiling is this morning.
♦ Jose Huizar has now
lapped Nick Pacheco in the fundraising heat of the 14th district council election.
