DeVito and PerlmanDanny DeVito and Rhea Perlman's party to raise campaign cash for Senate Democrats was supposed to be the last big Hollywood political event of the season. Melissa Etheridge came to sing, and Wolfgang Puck catered. Unfortunately for the party's hosts, Dianne Feinstein and Hillary Rodham Clinton got stuck in Washington. So did Harry Reid. Barbra Streisand and Rob Reiner canceled. DeVito didn't even make it: he was off filming in London. Tina Daunt got in though, and her story in today's LAT says that Sen. Barbara Boxer and four other Senators only made it because a private jet delivered them to Van Nuys Airport Wednesday afternoon. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee took in $650,000 anyway.
