It's that time again. At 11 a.m. today in Lynwood, Mayor Villaraigosa, Chief Bratton, Sheriff Lee Baca and City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo will once again plead with Angelenos (and our neighbors) not to be stupid and fire our guns into the air at midnight on New Year's Eve. (* Stupid and a felony.)

Meanwhile:
Delgadillo drove down to Lake Machado in Harbor City to announce charges against the two men (one an ex-LAPD cop) who released their pet alligator Reggie last summer. Reg, originally thought to be a caiman, is still on the lam six months after they let him loose and four months after anyone noticed.
