PaltrowWhile I may seem to pile on the Times for taking a boosterish approach to awards shows in its hunger to attract new readers and website visitors, The Envelope is actually pretty good at a lot of what it does. I don't know that many Angelenos care about Monday's Golden Globes, but today at 3 pm the site is holding a live chat with nominee Gwyneth Paltrow. Only registered users can slip in a question, but anyone can follow along at this link.

Also: Sarah Silverman will host this year's Independent Spirit Awards from the beach in Santa Monica.
