IMAX has apparently made a stunning film about the Mars rover, and you might think that with all the people around SoCal who worked on the project or know people who did it might get released here first. Think again: the closest showing of Roving Mars is in the Bay Area. Apparently it will get here after local IMAX theaters clear out Harry Potter and other previous commitments. Meanwhile, the JPL team that put the rover on Mars and drove it around is supposed to get a private screening.

* Already happened: (Tuesday 10:05 am) I'm told JPL already got its private screening, and NPR's Alex Chadwick was there for a piece on Day to Day that aired last week.
