TheatreFront pager in the L.A. Business Journal mentions that the circa-1930 Wilshire Theatre, designed by S. Charles Lee as the Fox Beverly Hills, will be getting a $20 million makeover by its new owner, the Jewish reform congregation Temple of the Arts. The Nederlander Organization will continue to lease the auditorium for plays and concerts for the next three years. Billy Crystal's "700 Sundays" is scheduled to run through Feb. 25

Also in the LABJ: Bob Spivak is turning over the keys to the Daily Grill chain to Philip Gay, the current CFO...Kate Berry reports that USC Marshall School of Business dean Yash Gupta "never settled into life in Los Angeles."
