Correction o' the day

From the Los Angeles Times:

Abortion: A March 4 column about abortion and overpopulation said that "roughly 10 billion people" die of hunger annually. The correct figure is 10 million.

It was the Meghan Daum column. Can only hope it was a typo and that no editor thought the higher number sounded reasonable.
