Deputy charged

San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy Ivory Webb was charged with attempted voluntary manslaughter for the videotaped shooting of an unarmed Air Force police officer in Chino on January 29. If convicted Webb could face 18 1/2 years in prison. Elio Carrion was wounded three times while—based on the videotape—complying with the deputy's command to stand up following a car chase. Carrion was a passenger in the car (the driver has been charged with evading police.)
