KFWB promotions

Better late than never—here is the internal memo from KFWB News Director Andy Ludlum:

Subject: Exciting News!!!

I have some exciting news...you'll see several of your colleagues in some new or expanded roles.

First, beginning Monday, the morning business news will be done by Steve Kindred. Among Steve's many talents is a business background. And, he's done an excellent job when he's filled in on business over the last few years. His big sound will be great addition to morning drive. And the Steve, Laura Gregory combination with give us an unbeatable business presence.

In addition to Steve, three other people are being promoted.

Michael Forrest and Darrell Satzman are being promoted to full time writer/editors. Michael will join Darrell as a weekend editor. Christina Villacorte is being promoted to full time writer/reporter. Christina will take over the weekend general assignment reporter role. She'll also being doing enterprise stories on the immigrant experience in Los Angeles.

Bill Cooper will be taking over for Steve Kindred at City Hall.

And last, but not least, Chris Ames will begin doing his daily commentary again. Please join me in congratulating Steve, Michael, Darrell, Christina, Bill and Chris!
