NBC teamNBC4 gave its website a new design, adding more video and simpler navigation. Local news also got a boost in emphasis, which is good for me. When I don't have the radio or TV on during the day, the best way to keep up on breaking Los Angeles news is through the station websites (Channels 2/9 and ABC7 have also redesigned recently.) I've learned the hard way that the Times website and those of the smaller papers are worthless on all but occasional, very big breaking local news. Same for the online news portals like Google and Yahoo: they lag well behind on L.A. stories. I was loyal to Channel 2's site for awhile, but 4 and 7 have all come through recently. My loyalty is in play. (KTLA doesn't even make an effort, and Fox-11 runs hours behind.)
