New head of VICA

The Valley Industry and Commerce Association, arguably the most influential advocacy group for the Valley, this morning named Brendan Huffman its new president. Huffman is currently the director of public policy for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and used to be a legislative aide for then-Assemblymen Burt Margolin and Wally Knox. The San Fernando Valley Business Journal has a story up online. Huffman grew up in Brentwood (near Dutton's Books, where his mother works) and lives in Studio City.
