StadiumThe Dodgers let last year's most productive first baseman, Hee Seop Choi, go on waivers to the Boston Red Sox. He figures to play more there than he would have here—and it will be interesting see if he puts up better stats than whomever the Dodgers end up using. Nomar Garciaparra is L.A.'s new incumbent, but he hasn't played a full season since 2003. (238 comments on the deal already at Dodger Thoughts.) Meanwhile, the Dodgers also have nearly completed renovations—they are calling it restoration—on the stadium: true Hollywood Bowl-style boxes on the field, new seats throughout, and a return to the original color scheme. A story in next week's L.A. Business Journal says there are even cup holders. The Dodgers website has photo galleries and a video.
