Hiltzik's blog suspended

This notice is posted at the top of Michael Hiltzik's Golden State blog on the Los Angeles Times website:

The Times has suspended Michael Hiltzikís Golden State blog on latimes.com. Hiltzik admitted Thursday that he posted items on the paperís website, and on other websites, under names other than his own. That is a violation of The Times ethics policy, which requires editors and reporters to identify themselves when dealing with the public. The policy applies to both the print and online editions of the newspaper. The Times is investigating the postings.

Here is the LA Observed posting from this morning that sparked the paper's review.

Plus:
Hiltzik is a hot topic around the blogosphere, mostly on the righty political blogs:

Hiltzik nemesis Hugh Hewitt compares Hiltzik posting anonymous blog comments to Janet Cooke's fabrications (uh, okayyyyy...)
