FlyerPolice expect more than a half-million demonstrators on the streets in Los Angeles Monday during the national boycott being organized by immigrant, labor and progressive groups. Organizers themselves expect many more. Marches are planned for noon on Broadway downtown and 4 pm along Wilshire Boulevard, starting at MacArthur Park and heading west to La Brea. Mayor Villaraigosa and Cardinal Mahony are urging marchers to attend the latter protest. Here's a selective roundup of today's stories and some web info:
