Prospects are rocky

DelgadilloCity Attorney Rocky Delgadillo's quest to become the attorney general of California just isn't picking up much momentum. The Field Poll out today shows former governor Jerry Brown with a 59%-18% lead among likely voters in the June 6 Democratic primary. That's a gap of 41 points—the largest margin in any of the races Field polled on—with only 23% of the voters calling themselves undecided. Statewide, two-thirds of likely primary voters say they have no opinion of Delgadillo. That, at least, may help him if he can exploit the 35% who say they come in with an unfavorable opinion of Brown (compared to 45% favorable.)
