What's in a name?

USC journalism students fanned out across Los Angeles and Orange Counties and asked 1,100 people if the Angels' decision to drop Anaheim from the name mattered. For most, it doesn't. People don't like the name Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, but they will overlook it if the team manages to win. The Orange County Register ran the story Sunday and packages the survey responses with video, a discussion forum and a "how we did it" page on the paper's website. The students' professor is Mark Katches, the Register's editor in charge of "watchdog journalism."
