Santa Monica chief of police James Butts is leaving to run the Los Angeles airport police, which comes with the unwieldy title of Deputy Executive Director of Airport Law Enforcement & Protection Services for Los Angeles World Airports. The news comes via Councilman Bill Rosendahl's blog.
