Ain homeMartin Schall, the German photographer who runs one of the best Los Angeles architecture websites, has posted a bunch of new images at his site You-are-here.com. His latest visit produced more photos for the Building Index, in the moderns group and in skyscrapers. He also has gone deep with residential photos from Lincoln Place in Venice and suburban housing tracts developed by Joseph Eichler in Orange and Granada Hills and the Gregory Ain neighborhood in Mar Vista (pictured.) I consider Schall a most valuable Angeleno, even though he lives in Stuttgart on the edge of the Schwarzwald and does this all as a hobby: "I'm a single person and doing this in my holidays. I'm a service engineer in the oil + gas industry." Don't miss his interactive map of downtown L.A. that brings up photos and architect info on dozens of buildings. Photo of Martin.
