Mulholland falls

Eight lucky teenagers from Orange County who were squeezed into a Nissan Sentra survived a 200-foot plunge off Mulholland Drive near Beverly Glen. Two teens who were riding in the trunk got the luckiest—they were thrown clear before the car began tumbling down the slope after 2 am on Friday. Otherwise, said LAFD spokesman Ken Cook, "I don't know if they would have made it all the way down the hill." The LAFD blog describes the rescue.
