Weird transit agency raided

Guns, law enforcement badges and police cars were confiscated during today's serving of search warrants on the San Gabriel Valley Transit Authority, the company that has found itself in the media spotlight since the crash of that Ferrari Enzo in Malibu three months ago. You might remember that Swedish bad-boy Bo Stefan Eriksson carried a business card identifying himself as a deputy commissioner of the authority's anti-terrorism unit. From the Times web story: "This investigation is entirely focused like a laser beam on the San Gabriel Valley Transit Authority Police Department and whether laws have been violated," [Sheriff's spokesman Steve] Whitmore said. "Detectives are seeking to determine what the badges were used for and what is the extent of the agency."
