Gov. Schwarzenegger will spend election night in Sacramento before heading north Wednesday to begin campaigning by bus in Samoa, a picturesque spot near Eureka that probably doesn't see many statewide candidates.
Chief Bratton commends several Southwest Division officers and paramedics for literally saving the life of wounded officer Kristina Ripatti on Saturday night. Bratton also describes "a significant uptrend of assaults on police officers," including eighteen officers shot at this year.
