Fixmer exits LABJ

I've lost count of how many departures from the Los Angeles Business Journal have been recorded on LA Observed. The latest turnover should get more attention than most. Andy Fixmer, who is going to the Los Angeles bureau of Bloomberg News, has made a habit of breaking stories on the real estate beat. His most recent (that I recall) was the June 2 scoop that AEG was replacing the Hilton hotel at L.A. Live with a Ritz Carlton and Marriot Marquis.

Fixmer's new beat at Bloomberg will be covering Disney. He replaces Alex Armitage, who is heading to the London bureau. Back at the LABJ, meanwhile, more recent hire Hilary Potkewitz is also said to be leaving.
