Long Beach gets a new mayor

The second city in Los Angeles County elected a new mayor for the first time in twelve years. Bob Foster, 59, former president of Southern California Edison, swept in with 57% of the vote. He replaces Beverly O'Neill, who had won her third term in a write-in victory four years ago.
