  • At LA Biz Observed, Mark Lacter says it's unlikely that Los Angeles will demand that big-box retailers pay a living wage, as Chicago has done. LABO
  • A little internal note, to stem the erroneous gossip. For about 36 hours staffers at the Los Angeles Times were blocked from readng LA Observed, but the culprit was my hosting service reacting to a traffic surge, not M.E. Doug Frantz's pique over these recent postings.
