  • Mayor Villaraigosa's independent fundraising committee for his school reform effort reported raising $1.1 million.
  • James G. Robinson, head of Morgan Creek Productions, lambasted Lindsay Lohan in a letter chiding the actress for being "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" during the current filming of Georgia Rule. The Smoking Gun has the letter, which had been delivered to Lohan at the Chateau Marmont.
  • Defamer and Deadline Hollywood are reporting the names of agents reportedly axed today as a result of ICM's takeover of Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann.
  • GOOD magazine hasn't even appeared in print yet, and already it's hosting an event with Al Gore (via iChat) on Saturday at the Museum of Television and Radio in Beverly Hills. Wealth has its privileges.

  • Historic Filipinotown will be getting a new sign at the Alvarado exit of the Hollywood Freeway.
  • Tony Tavares, former president of the Angels and the Mighty Ducks, has been sued by the former head of ticket sales for the Washington Nationals who says that Tavares slapped him and challenged him to a fight. At the time, Tavares was president of the Nationals.
