Going off-grid, sort of

FlemmingFilmmaker, blogger and promoter Brian Flemming has cooked up a new stunt. He announced yesterday on his blog that for the next week he will eat only what comes out of the garden behind his Los Angeles building. Since he's got thirty-five ears of corn ready for picking, looks like there will be a lot of shucking ahead. Flemming also has some eggplant, peppers and mint for variety, but he admits wishing that he had rented a laying hen for the week to justify a few omelets. Flemming's documentary The God Who Wasn't There questions the existence of Jesus Christ (and riles up believers), so I'm not at all surprised that a reader spots a certain face in the grilled eggplant.
