Long Beach

Stealing Rosie's ride

creditFor nine years, Rosie the arthritic bulldog has been part of the Belmont Shores scenery, riding in a little red wagon behind her owner. Well, somebody stole Rosie's latest customized wheels, which came with a carpeted bed, a ramekin for a water dish and all-terrain tires for detours on to the beach, the Long Beach Press-Telegram's Tracy Manzer says. Not to worry, though: Rosie's owner went to Target and grabbed up an off-the-shelf model. He's still hoping to retrieve the original.
