Rather tribute bumped -- by CBS
Dan Rather's farewell retrospective on CBS couldn't even make the cut on the Friday evening before Labor Day. In Los Angeles and New York, the hour-long show is yielding to an NFL pre-season game. Instead of airing after the game on Channel 2, where viewers had grown accustomed to seeing Rather anchor the CBS Evening News for years, the special will bump over to less-watched KCAL Channel 9, Scott Collins says on Channel Island.
