Arrest in KABC reporter's assault

Los Angeles police arrested Ramon Flores in the June 1 assault on KABC radio reporter Sandy Wells outside the Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School. At the time, Wells had been trying to interview parents, students and administrators at the controversial El Sereno school. He reported that a car jumped the sidewalk, nearly hitting him, then the driver jumped out, accosted him and took his audio tape. Police booked Flores on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and said he will also face a robbery charge.
