Everybody's known for something

Copy editor humor
The LA Weekly's copy editors have a blog that gently satirizes the paper's own Style Council blog. And it has been around since April.

The LAT's School Me blog keeps a running tab of candidates it wants to see considered for the top job at LAUSD.

Developers got the endorsement of the Venice Neighborhood Council for a 57-room boutique hotel on the site of the former Charles and Ray Eames design warehouse on Abbot Kinney. It would be called Ray. Story is in the LABJ.

Beverly Hills is looking at banning smoking on restaurant patios and other outdoor places.
Wedding bells
Vanessa Grigoriadis, contributing editor here for Rolling Stone, pops up in the NYT wedding pages marrying Craig Maldonado, a designer for David LaChapelle. They fell in love at Burning Man.
