creditForget the odd looking baby. Vanity Fair's October issue has the doubled-in-size VF 100, successor to the annual New Establishment roster. Rupert Murdoch tops the list, followed by Google founders Sergey and Larry then Steve Jobs. Noteworthy Angelenos (minus the usual Hollywood two dozen or so) include Oracle's Larry Ellison (#8), Yahoo's Terry Semel (#43), Laurie and Larry David #74), Arianna Huffington (#76), Frank Gehry (#77), Eli Broad (#78), Michael Milken (#79) and Ron Burkle (#89). Also on the list: Maureen Dowd at #70.

This is also the issue where Michael Schnayerson weighs in on Wendy McCaw and the Santa Barbara News-Press mess. Not much new except perhaps some details of McCaw's legal battles and Rob Lowe's skill at estranging his neighbors. I think we knew that when the mess broke, McCaw was on a yacht in Europe with Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The issue also has a short item on PInkberry, the West Hollywood frozen yogurt hotspot.
