More on Mayer
Nikki Finke adds some meat to Monday's Allan Mayer-exits-Sitrick stories, saying that Mayer wanted to move from crisis PR into "a more strategic kind of communications." She reports the split is amicable and that Sitrick let Mayer out of his contract. Noted: Anne Thompson's Monday post on her Hollywood Reporter blog included former Variety reporter and MGM flack David Bloom among the new additions at Sitrick and Company.
