MTA's #2 in play again

Just last September John Catoe withdrew from consideration for the top transit job in Atlanta to remain with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Now today's Washington Post reports that Catoe has been offered the job of general manager of the Washington region's Metro rail-and-bus network. They are said to be negotiating contract details, according to Post sources. Catoe is from Washington and told the Post he had applied, but wouldn't comment on reports that he had the job.
