This time Beadle's means it

Clifton'sBeadle's Cafeteria in Pasadena has shut its doors for good. Don't believe the taped-up sign in the window saying it's just closed for remodeling. Not going to happen, the landlord tells the Pasadena Star-News. She says the newest owner couldn't make a go of it in the low-visibility Colorado Boulevard location where the 50-year-old cafeteria moved some time ago. Its closure inspired the L.A. Times to do a piece today on the decline of cafeteria culture in Southern California: "...a victim of changing tastes, an aging population and urban sprawl."

Note: No Morning Buzz today.
