Guard who stabbed has a past

Michael Buchanan, the security guard who stabbed an intruder at the Beverly Hills home of celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson, is an ex-Rampart Area officer who was fired from the LAPD in 2004. He also is waiting trial on charges of falsifying a security guard application.
