'Subway to the Sea' in Bee

Laura Mecoy, the Sacramento Bee's Los Angeles reporter, weighs in today with a longish piece on L.A. transit pegged to the revived talk of a subway out Wilshire Boulevard. Mayor Villaraigosa and the mayor of Beverly Hills talk it up, the Bus Riders Union is held up as the main opposition, and the history of the Red Cars and the Ross Dress for Less explosion come up.
